Driving myself; with the wind always in my favor.
Golf is a sport with which I have been familiar all my life. I remember my father playing every weekend and the trophies and award ceremonies. After almost 15 years, I decided to play golf again, and after practicing for a year, I entered the most important tournament of my hometown club and won. I defeated myself, and something in me changed. I have never been an athletic woman, nor do I have the type of body that society dictates. Through photography and this project, I explore subjects such as identity, success, vulnerability, and my history as a Mexican woman in a sporting environment. I also acknowledge everyone who was involved in my path to triumph.
