Beyond the Veil
‘Beyond the Veil’ takes an experimental approach towards fashion photography, drawing from surrealist influences and concepts to obscure, abstract and isolate parts of the body. In short, surrealism is a movement that can combine ideas, images and objects that blur the lines between fiction and reality, often drawing from the unconscious mind. This project investigates the defamiliarization and abstraction of the body, inspired by surrealism, that aims to confuse and distort, walking the fine line between fashion and fine art photography.
