Life Turning, 2024
Life Turning explores the theme of the cyclical nature of life as it moves between a mother and daughter. Memories of the enigmatic city of Liverpool and the time I spent there as a young woman. My daughter turned eighteen this year and leaving home for the first time herself. In re-visiting Liverpool thirty-six years later, I’m reaching back. Searching for the ghost of a past self, explored through my daughter in the present. Reflecting on the contrast between who I was then with who I am now. Who my daughter is going to become. The ever-changing connection between us. Life turning through us and beyond us.
