Witches of The North
I am a landscape and documentary photographer with a passion for storytelling. I enjoy capturing the beauty of nature, taking the ordinary and showing it from a new perspective. My aim is to use the power of a still image to portray stories important to me. For my latest project ‘Witches of The North’ I explore the stories of witches both fictional and historical around the North East of England and Scotland. This project is a collection of landscapes from where these stories originate, from the Newcastle witch trials to tales of wicked women that roamed the Yorkshire Moors. On first look these places may look ordinary, maybe even familiar, but they have witnessed a history of witchcraft and magic.
