The Birds of The North East
My name is Ryan Rothwell, I am a still life and advertisement photographer based in the North of England. In the series called ‘The Birds of The North East’ the project captures the intricate beauty of bird feathers while shedding light on the alarming decline in bird species. The project identifies feathers and matches them to the bird species they have come from. The imagery captures a range of mesmerising patterns and vibrant hues of feathers that engage the viewer while showcasing the deeper meaning within the feathers. The project has slightly expanded to a wider variety of bird species that are not from the North East but this does not detract from the statement of the work.
