Sinaida Michalskaja
Windows
Oscillating between sculpture, photography and physical objects, the work refers to the window as a fundamental condition of visibility, a space of exposure and a place where oppositions mediate and become each other. By confronting the camera with the window and by turning the window into a photograph and the photograph into a window, the works aims to question what windows are and what they can be, trying to reveal the complexity of this mundane threshold.
