Tracy Tattersall
Unearthed
My project, Unearthed has evolved from my connection to the Suffolk coast, a complex landscape evoking beauty, tranquility, and unease. The villages, Covehithe and Benacre have some of the fastest eroding coastlines in Britain. The destruction from the sea is evidenced here with crumbling cliffs, uprooted trees, and unexpected sunken structures on the beach. By immersing myself in this landscape with my camera, I explored the fragility of this place and how this related to my personal experiences of loss, grief, and healing. The photographs superimpose large format analogue and digital photographic images exploring our temporal interpretations of time and memory.
