Angharad Bache
from a zillennial
Is a thought-provoking visual exploration of the challenges and burnout experienced by Millennial and Gen Z generations in Britain. Through powerful portraiture, the project delves into realities faced by these young individuals, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and wider societal and political issues. Portraits, taken in Aberystwyth, represent a microcosm of the nation's youth, showcasing their struggles to thrive amid a cost-of-living crisis and restricted rights to protest. The project aims to dismantle the rosy pipe dream of a brighter future and instead unveils the exhaustion and disillusionment present in the wake of global events and an unforgiving capitalist system. 'from a zillennial' is a poignant reflection of the current state of the younger generations in the UK.
